FRANK

The Art Gallery of Ontario, known around here as the AGO, has been creating stirs of excitement with their new exhibitions. Just recently, I visited the Maharaja, the Splendour of India’s Royal Courts exhibition and was awed by the amazing objects on display. Gold necklaces with diamonds and jewels the size of loonies, elaborate silk saris embellished with silver thread and beads, even a full size silver carriage, were just some of the manifold objects there to see. However, all that gallery hopping always makes me hungry, and the best place to dine when at the AGO is FRANK. The Frank Gehry designed space is arty yet not pretentious and houses work by artists like Edward Burtynsky and Frank Stella. To match the chic, contemporary ambiance of the restaurant is the organic yet avant-garde shapes of some of Fortessa’s finest tableware. So, if you are in the mood to take in some culture, stare at some fine art, and eat some delicious food, stop by the AGO and dine the day away at FRANK.
