Patio Time = cocktail time = a good time

There is nothing better than enjoying a crisp and refreshing cocktail as you lounge on a sunny patio, or cool off under the shade of tree in your backyard. Traversing the internet for new cocktail concoctions, I came across this one on the LCBO website. I whipped it up, put in a Schotts Zwiesel Tossa high ball glass and let the summertime breeze (and tequila) cool me down. Check it out for yourself:


Cactus Kiss Cocktail

In a cocktail shaker filled with ice, combine 1 oz. gold tequila, 1/2 oz. peach schnapps, the juice of 1/8 fresh lime and 3 oz. tart lime juice (frozen concentrate or bar lime). Shake and strain into a rocks glass. Garnish with a peach slice.

Patio season also means a racking up of empties. This weekend, May 26 and 27th, The Beer Store is running their Returns for Leukemia bottle drive. So gather up your empties and donate them to help raise funds for much needed Leukemia research. $1,212,712.24 was raised in 2011. Lets amp it up this year!
